Please note: As of 9 February 2012 this event is FULL. Please see the availability section below.

LUSAS is pleased to announce that the 2012 International Bridge Analysis Seminar on the subject of Assessment and Rehabilitation of Bridges will take place at the Institution of Structural Engineers, 11 Upper Belgrave Street, London, UK on 7 March 2012.

Presentations by industry renowned speakers from leading consultancies and other organisations, and also by key LUSAS staff, will give engineers attending a broad insight into the various finite element analysis tools and techniques available to assess a range of steel, concrete and masonry bridge structures and assist with providing suitable remedial or retrofit solutions.

Seminar format: Following an initial welcome and introduction to all those attending, the day's events kick-off with a keynote address by Chris Hendy, Head of Bridge Design and Technology at Atkins. This is followed by a detailed look at current recommended methods for idealising and modelling a range of bridge structures using finite element techniques. Then, three individual sessions on steel, concrete and masonry arch structures will feature overview presentations, FE modelling demonstrations and real-life case studies on UK and international projects presented by speakers from Flint & Neill, University of Cardiff, BEBO Arch International AG, and URS. A closing session for discussion and closing remarks completes the day's agenda.

See below for the link to the online booking form.
