Set active the given lamina (layer) name, independently of any particular laminate (composite attribute). Thus, if this function is called with the lamina name 'layer1', any elements containing a lamina named 'layer1' (from any laminate) will be affected. The active lamina is the one that is used for visualisation and results plots There is always an active lamina, even if the currently requested results or visualisation do not require it (in which case it is ignored).
