in order to run an example will be stated in a usage box at the
beginning of each example like this:

Analyst or LUSAS Composite products can run bridge or civil examples
if a LUSAS Bridge or LUSAS Civil product option has been purchased.

Composite examples can be run in any software product if a
Composite product option has been purchased.

The LUSAS
Academic software product will run any example, provided the correct
product option is selected during start-up.

Examples
that cannot be run using the Teaching
and Training version of LUSAS (which has restrictions on problem
size) are noted in the usage box at the

Searching LUSAS Worked Examples (with keywords)
This index of examples and keywords is provided to assist in the search for an example for a particular application.
Advanced searching using Adobe Acrobat Reader
As an alternative to searching for keywords to find a relevant example, Adobe Acrobat Reader can be used to search a single PDF file, or a number of PDF files in a specified folder by using its advanced search facilty.
To access the Advanced search facility in Adobe Acrobat Reader press the
Ctrl + Shift + F keys simultaneously. This provides the options to search:
- In the current document
- All PDF documents in <a specified folder>
To search for a keyword in multiple PDF
documents in a specified folder:
1. Select the Browse for location option
2. Browse to the <LUSAS Installation Folder> PDF manuals> EnglishUS> Worked Examples folder
3. Enter a word or phrase you wish to search for
4. Press the Search button.
