Error : General Protection Exception
This type of error message is output from the Windows kernel for PC machines.
Because of this, the messages are not LUSAS-specific and
not typically useful in interpreting the problem.
If this occurs when using MODELLER, the
LUSASM_0.ERR file should be examined for more specific error
messages. If, however, the error occurs whilst SOLVER is
running, the LUSAS output file should be examined for error
messages.
Without any corresponding errors this may
indicate the presence of very large displacements or stresses
that are larger than the maximum permitted by the machine
hardware – typically a result of a significant weakness
in the structure.
