How LUSAS uses PC virtual memory
Windows virtual memory ("swap/ page
file") is used by LUSAS Solver and Modeller. The operating system
generally expands the swap file size automatically, according to
current application resource requirements.
For some LUSAS
analyses, the virtual memory requirements can be quite
significant. You may need to resize
the swap file on your PC. In some instances, the disk or partition to
which the swap file is currently being written (typically
the C:\ drive on a PC) may have insufficient space available. This will cause the
analysis to fail. The remedy is either to create additional free
space on this disk or to relocate
the swap file to another local disk drive or partition with more free
space.
